Great Music Lessons Start with the Right Teacher.

Learning a musical instrument offers benefits that extend far beyond playing notes. Music lessons bring together creativity, concentration, coordination, listening, and self-expression, giving students opportunities to develop new skills while enjoying the experience of making music.

Research suggests that musical training may support important cognitive skills, including attention, memory, and executive function, although the extent of these benefits varies among individuals.

At Maestro Musicians Academy, we believe the greatest benefit is discovering the joy of music itself. With the right teacher, students of all ages can build musical skills, experience the satisfaction of making progress, and develop an appreciation for music that can last a lifetime.

We consider each student's age, musical interests, experience, goals, and scheduling needs when recommending a teacher. Our goal is to find an instructor whose teaching approach and personality are a good fit, helping make lessons both enjoyable and productive.

Our lessons are for children, pre-teens, and teens and can start as young as 5 years old.

Lessons at Maestro Musicians Academy's Lexington music school take place once per week. Although lesson registration is on a monthly basis, we follow a 48 week calendar, making us a year-round school!

At Maestro Musicians Academy, we carefully select teachers for their musical expertise, engaging personalities, and genuine passion for teaching. We believe the right teacher makes all the difference, which is why we help match each student with an instructor whose teaching style and personality complement their interests, experience, and goals.

Our teachers personalize lessons to make learning music enjoyable, rewarding, and meaningful for children and adults alike.

Absolutely!! There are many ways to make music. Adults and children benefit from learning rhythm, movement through music, sight-singing, ear-training, music theory, and of course, playing. We make it our mission to unlock the keys to YOUR unique learning style.

While most (but not all) of Maestro Musicians Academy's Lexington music teachers are classically trained, they have all the tools necessary to get you playing any style that you choose. The technical fundamentals are the same for beginners in all styles. Whether you are looking for lessons in classical, pop, country, or jazz, we can work with you to find the right teacher for your needs and goals.

Not only do we offer a trial lesson, we offer a trial period! This means that if you are unhappy with our lessons before the last day of the month, we will refund you the remainder of the unused tuition.

Yes. We run CORI checks on all teachers at the Maestro Musicians Academy's Lexington music school.

For piano lessons, we recommend having an instrument at home so your child can practice regularly. A full acoustic piano is wonderful, but not required—many families begin with a quality digital keyboard (with weighted keys) and upgrade later as their child progresses. Renting can be a good short-term option if you’re just getting started, but most families find that owning an instrument provides better consistency and value over time. We’re happy to guide you toward the right choice based on your goals and space.
